I see blue in chess

My mom was invited to come to the Louis Vuitton Event last saturday. So she decided to ask me to come with her. Again, since we have classes on a Saturday, I have to rush my way home and find a good outfit. Good thing my sister has this beautiful sheer top which I was really thankful for. It was also rainy that time, so long sleeves top is really the perfect piece. Sadly I didn't get to take pictures of the event cause you know, it's LV. 

But yeah, after the event, we went to BGC to eat dinner. We at TGI Fridays and had the YUMMIEST dinner ever :9

 

It was raining hard so I didn't get to roam aroung and take a lot of pictures. Sorry for this, I edited the original picture, so yeah... i know it sucks but oh well :)

Red Roses

With all honesty, I'm not a music addict. I listen to music everyday BUT I'm not updated to new songs and new artists. Usually, my friends are the ones who introduce me to new songs, they are the ones who make me download this and that. Honestly, I feel like I'm a loser whenever I don't know a certain song. hahaha :p So with that, I came up with this idea of maybe posting MY new found artists. It maybe a famous artist or a newbie. Anything really goes :)

So tonight, I'll be featuring my new love. He doesn't only sing awesome songs but he also makes them. Yes! you heard that right, He composes songs too :) ( how dreamy is that? huh?) I, discovered him thru twitter and thru my twitter friends. He's known for having a crush on Emma Watson,that's why he even made a song for her!(sweet right? ) I guess if you're a fan just like me, you know who he is:) YES!! it's no other than AJ RAFAEL.

Arthur Joseph Rafael a.k.a. AJ Rafael is a Filipino-American musician based in California. He started out in Youtube, where he got to express his love for music :) He had his concert in Manila last January which I wasn't able to attend :( it really sucks!! Up until now, I'm regretting that I didn't get to see him perform live. That's why I begged my friend, who got to attend his concert, to buy me an album and let AJ sign it.

Fortunately my friend was able to get AJ, Noah, Danny and Andrew's autograph! Thank you Kevin! I owe you alot ;)

I honestly loved everything in this Red Roses album but of course I have my favorite songs too. I personally like Five Hundred Days, We Could Happen, Emma Watson and Red Roses. I love how he wrote these songs, they're like, for lack of words, "chill songs" hahaha! I feel so relaxed whenever I listen to his songs :)

Sleepless Nights

Last Saturday, My family and I went on a last minute getaway. My mom actually planned everything last last week and we knew about the trip 2 days before our flight and we didn't have plans where to go!! (fyi, we ended up having a cramped day! squeezed in 2 activities in a day) We were Singapore bound, our flight was at 6am and we need to leave the house at around 2am! So, imagine us sleepless (we decided not to sleep because we knew that we wouldn't be able to wake up at that time) and starving! I was also too lazy to dress up so I decided to wear my ever-so-trusted lace shorts and this comfy leopard print top and I wore pink flats to add color plus this flats are tooooooo comfy! I promise :)

I was so lazy that I didn't even bother wearing any accessories :( Sorry :( I'm only wearing my baller and a scrunchie :) 

In times like these (out of town/ country trips, exercising, doing sports, hot days) it's best to always keep your hair tidy and up, that's why my scrunchie is not leaving my hand;) we're like Siamese twins! haha! As for the "Like A Boss" baller, well it's from a friend and it means a lot to me so it'll stay there forever or at least until it's intact :p hahaha

DIY Diaries : Rugged Shortsies

I have these extra pairs of white shorts for quite sometime now, they were passed on to me by my aunt but i wasn't really using all of them. Soooo out of boredom and insomnia, I decided to make my own Rugged Shortsies :)

 You'll Need :

• Extra Pair of (maong or any tough cloth)Shorts / Old Pants (the white one)
•  Pencil
• Ruler
• Very Sharp Scissors
• "Pattern" (the floral shorts)

  
Steps

1.  Get your Pattern (in my case, the floral shorts) Use that as a guide on how long or short your pair is going to be.
2. You then get your pencil and ruler and draw a visible line just like what I have in the picture.

(DON'T FORGET TO FOLD THE POCKET SO YOU DON'T CUT THEM!! I almost cut mine! :( )

         3. Now use the scissors to cut through the line. Be sure to be EXTRA CAREFUL because I had  a booboo myself :( 

 4. Of course you'll to the same on the other leg :)

 5. Once you've cut through both legs, You'll have this result, pockets still intact :)
6. As you can see, It isn't rugged enough yet and our goal is to have that rugged shortsies right? so that leads us to...
7. (BE EXTRA EXTRA CAREFUL PLEASE) We'll make that rugged effect.
8. Use the scissors or blade (i recommend the usage of blade because it'll be a lot easier) In my case I used a pair of scissors because I don't have a blade on hand.
9. Use the tip of the scissors to scratch the cloth. Make sure you do it in one direction ONLY (horizontal, vertical, diagonal)

 Take Note: If you're doing this for the first time, PRACTICE first on the extra cloth that you've cut so not to make any mistakes ;);)

 10: Now after doing those rugged patches, it's time to do the hem of the shorts. Do the same thing with the hem, use the tip of your blade and do diagonal scratches to achieve that stringy hem :)

11. After that, make sure that your shorts are extremely rugged to achieve that rugged biker chic look ;)

**you may use a cardboard or anything sturdy to make the scratching process easier and to have your shorts safe :)**

It's subtle yet revealing

Last May 26, my brother Charles had his post birthday celebration at Annapolis Seafood Palace :) Annapolis Seafood Palace is located along Annapolis St. Greenhills, San Juan, so if you want to eat yummy yet affordable fine dinning Chinese food, I recommend you to try this Chinese Resto :) 

So anyway, My brother's party had this "bookworm" theme since he loves reading books hence my mom thought of this setup :) 

 39 clues birthday cake and cupcakes from Cakes R Us!! 

Honestly..I didn't expect that the cake and cupcakes would look and taste AMAZING :) I recommend the branch at SM North Edsa because they were so accommodating and nice considering that we didn't have an art work before hand so they gave us ideas on what to order :) Thank you for producing wonderful cakes ;)

It's tough yet girly

As what I said in my previous blogpost, I pre-planned my PFW day 2 outfit even if I'm not yet certain that I'll be attending PFW :)) hahaha I don't know why but I think I had sensed that I would attend the SM Ladies fashion show :3 kidding :)

PFW day 4 - Oxygen

I really want to thank DAS and the DAS sisters for giving me 2 invites for the Oxygen Show last Friday :)

Anyway, back to the Oxygen Fashion Show. Compared to SM's fashion show, Oxygen has this edge, it's not a girly preppy collection as what SM Ladies had presented on the runway. Oxygen has this rocker-chic and "angas-vibe" to their clothes. The collection isn't just black and white but Oxygen has proved that you can be tough even f you're wearing colors :)
